<description descriptionType="Abstract">We request the continuation of previous BAG MX-2650, created from the ESRF recommendation to merge several groups from south-east Spain. The team is intrinsically heterogeneous reflected in a diversity of research lines, focused on deciphering the molecular mechanisms of proteins and complexes involved in pathological processes, targeted therapies, and enzyme design, with applications in drug discovery and protein engineering. We are still on the process of a proper organization of shifts awarded, trying to use the provided synchrotron resources in the most efficient way by the different groups. This resource is of paramount relevance to advance our studies as confirmed by the contribution of our experiments in high-impact structural research.</description>
